This already provides a neat finish, but if you want a truly flawless result (without micro-unevenness), you can take it one step further: skim coating.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>What is skim coating?<\/strong><br \/>Skim coating is an ultra-thin layer (1\u20132 mm) applied over your paint-ready plastered wall. It creates a velvety-smooth finish, ideal if you\u2019re using high-gloss paint or have sleek lighting that highlights every tiny imperfection.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Process:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preparation \u2013 Make the wall dust-free and dry.<\/li>\n\n<li>Primer \u2013 Use a suitable bonding primer to ensure the skim coat adheres properly.<\/li>\n\n<li>Application \u2013 Use a spackle knife or trowel to apply a thin layer.<\/li>\n\n<li>Smoothing \u2013 Even out with light pressure, leaving no ridges.<\/li>\n\n<li>Light sanding \u2013 Only if necessary, using fine sandpaper (grit 180\u2013220).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><br \/><strong>Tip:<\/strong> Skim coating also works well to smooth out existing painted walls.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sausklaar stucen betekent dat je muur of plafond z\u00f3 glad is, dat je er direct overheen kunt schilderen.
